Franz Kafka “Before the Law” Essay

In his story, Before the Law, Franz Kafka suggests that obstacles that cardinal pillow slips in life can either be used to mold wizard(a)s success or represent close to ones failure. If one can overcome the scraps that they argon toned with, they grow in a unusual type of way, for both individual perceives each situation in a distinct fashion. That unique type of egression is what establishes a persons character and cognition of the world. However, if one cannot overcome their obstacles, so they cut off their means for growth and are left uninspired, forgetting any dreams or aspirations. It is through the gentle valets gentle universes interactions with the doorman, and his inability to overcome this obstacle, that eventu all(prenominal)y leads him down the path of complacency and failure. It is the porters beer in this par up to(p) that keeps the man from gaining access to the law, and his inability to outdo this hall porter that leads to his demise. It is grievo us to realize that the man stresss to reach the law, however he winds up getting further if as far as the doorkeeper. A question arises here, what would have happened if the man was able to overcome the doorkeeper and memorialise the furnish? The doorkeeper himself somewhat provides an answer to this question when he warns the man that he is only the least of the doorkeepers. From hall to hall there is one doorkeeper after the other, each more powerful than the last. The third doorkeeper is already so terrible that even I cannot bear to scent at him. Of course these are difficulties that the man from the sphere has not expected, and kind of of taking his chances, the doorkeeper gives him a stool and lets him sit down at one side of the gate. The man failed to realize that even if there were other doorkeeper rotter the first door, he would have been able to face him with the father and k instantlyledge gained by overcoming the initial doorkeeper. Why was the man so foolish to just sit there and let his life pass him by? This concept of attaining knowledge applies not only to the man from the country scarce also to every in ordinary life. By the man not overcoming one of the challenges in his life, he was not able to strive and succeed in contact the goals that he has set forth for himself. When one overcomes their challenges, the knowledge that they have gained from that experience merely provides them with necessary tools to face a more difficult situation.Overcoming all of these situations or challenges is like climbing a mountain towards excellence and achievement of ones goals. A prime example of move to overcome challenges in every day life in stage tosucceed is myself. I am a first year college bookman who is on the rocky road towards success. I am continually meeting one challenge after the next, striving to achieve every one of the goals I have set for myself. From elementary to high school and now to college, I am using the things I have learned, the tools I destiny in order to meet the next and more difficult challenge in my life. Unfortunately, the man accepts the stool that the doorkeeper offers him where he sits for days and years. The man never gains any sort of stature, for he looses out on all of the potential growth he could have gained by standing up to the doorkeeper. Why didnt he stand up? What made him so weak that the doorkeeper was able to take such advantage of him? on the whole of these questions are now brought into the picture because of the mans stupidity in just giving up not only with the doorkeeper but also with himself. Before the man realizes that he has reached a state where he is looked down upon, and questions asked of him are put indifferent, as great lords put them. asleep of the hole that he has dug for himself, the man eventually loses total vision of his original goal of reaching the law, and the man fixes his attention almost forever on the doorkeeper. He even reaches the point o f begging the fleas on the doorkeepers coat to grant him access to the law if the man were to only realize from the beginning that the gate was placed there for his own in the flesh(predicate) self-development. The lessons he could have learned by pushing beyond the initial doorkeeper would have more than likely built him into a all new person, with unique talents and insights gained from his experience. Instead he gives up on himself, he grows old and never reaches any of his goals, and he never achieves his aspiration. The doorkeeper then finally points out, that no one else could be admitted here, since the gate was made only for you. I am now going to shut it. This closing of the gate was the end to everything the man wanted, all of his hopes and dreams have now been shut behind a door and are now irretrievable. The author gives us a sense of sorrow towards the old man for not being able to achieve his wants and desires. Instead, we learn a valuable lesson in the story about th e life one leads. One must be prepared to face the challenges that life present. If one is able to overcome their challenges, they will grow from their experience and form their own unique personality. If one cannot overcome their obstacles, they may overleap their life stuck in a rut of complacency, never achieving any goals or dreams that they once had. The poor old man from the country had to learn this important lesson out for himself.

Unethical

wrong Research Arnuang Bullie RES/351 Jeff Duncan November 9, 2012 In this paper I will chasten and discuss the unethical business research conduct that has resulted in individuals or a firm being convicted, or at least time-tested for, this conduct. Some questions will be what were the inappropriate questions, what were the research results, and who was involved in the maintaining of the participants confidential information, and were there any acts involving the use of participant information for uncaused purposes such as selling goods or services. What unethical research style was involved? The company I have researched is DynCorp. There was an article on this company earlier this year about DynCorp and Sex trafficking. DynCorp is a mystic military machine Company who gets paid by governments to protect areas, and is likely to feign on the same roles as interchangeiers. Many times these companies are looked at lightly and not really researched. * Who were the injured part ies? While working in Bosnia middle aged men were having sex with 12-15 year old children, and sold them to each other as slaves.According to the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organization exploit (RICO) lawsuit filed in Texas on behalf of a former DynCorp aircraft mechanic, in the latter(prenominal) part of 1999 Johnston learned that employees and supervisors from DynCorp were engaging in perverse, illegal and inhumane fashion and were purchasing illegal weapons, women, forged passports and participating in other immoral acts. Johnston witnessed coworkers and supervisors literally buying and selling women for their own personal enjoyment, and employees would brag about the mixed ages and talents of the individual slaves they had purchased (OMeara, 2002). How has the unethical behavior affected the organization, the individual, and society? In the pass of 2005, the United States Defense department drafted a proposal to blackball justification contractor involvement in human traff icking for forced prostitution and labor. some(prenominal) defense contractors, among others, DynCorp, stalled the establishment of a final proposal that would formally prohibit defense contractor involvement in these activities. On June 2, 2000, members of the 48th Military Police Detachment conducted a sting on the DynCorp hangar at Comanche Base Camp, one of two U.S. bases in Bosnia, and all DynCorp personnel were detained for questioning. (OMeara, 2002). * How could the unethical behavior be avoided or resolved? Since these allegations were raised more than a decade ago, the Company has changed ownership and leadership developed a morose Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, which includes a zero tolerance policy on human trafficking created the position of Chief Compliance Officer introduced international training programs and has taken a number of steps to ensure a compliant, ethical, successful workplace. It is both good and commendable that DynCorp has taken steps since th ose old age to ensure such things never happen again (Isenberg, 2012). These situations are disenfranchised to know if they are going to happen but, by putting the inexorable Code of Ethics and Business Conduct in place should help regulate what else goes on. Active Citizenship Coursework

This course earn is all active agent being an active citizen, and what it takes to be one. I unbidden be giving an example of an activity in which I was being an active citizen. Then I will be showing how I involve been an active Citizen.Brief Details of the actionFrom late 2007 to the early months of 2008, I was taking tell in a programme of activities known as the Duke of Edinburghs assign (D of E), at the silver level. This involved me carrying pop subject field in different forms of activities with the aim of completing machinate objectives, as well as proviso and training for an expedition by myD of E group to cover 14 miles in 2 days by foot. The activities contextThe role of other people/ supplyingThe D of E award required a lot of preparation spread out over different aspects. Below I will explain the layers of protrudening required in orderliness for me to accommodate successfully copd my D of E.The first level would be organising the instructors. The instruc tors would obligate to be trained adequately in order to assist the participants. There be different areas in which they would feature to be trained they would have to have knowledge roughly the objectives which are required in order for participants to complete the award. Furthermore, if they area assisting with an expedition, they would have to have an even greater knowledge about what is required to complete the objective successfully (such as knowing about play reading or tents). All this training is important for them to be able to help us plan our D of E successfully. As we meet up regularly to check on the progress of our D of E, the instructors will be there to see if we are on sign to achieve our readiness objectives, and their input can be important for us to have our D of E aforethought(ip). With instructors being trained adequately, the next submit of other peoples planning would be my peers When we take part in the D of E award, we also have to take part in an expedition. In order for the expedition to be successful, a lot of different work will be admited to be carried out before we set out on our expedition. Firstly, the group needs to create a planned itinerary that we set out on, and this requires full participation from all the groups members. afterwards the driveway has been created, the next aim would be to organise where the camping kettle of fish would be. Part of the team will be allocated the job of locating realistic areas for the location. After possible locations are found, the group has to come together to direct a decision on the best camping place, based on location, facilities (such as showers) and costs. Finally, after all the details are agreed on by the group, the instructors have to make sure as shooting the route they would take out would be feasible, based on the factors of its distance, contours (up/ floor hill), or if the route is just to undertake. After the instructors have accepted the route, they will have to submit the route to the head D of E offices. This is required for the group to have their route validated, as well as make the personnel undertaking the award eligible for the insurance required to do the expedition. This final stage of the planning required lots of paperwork to certify the route to meet the criteria required, such as organising the insurance for the group.improvement possibly choose skills I have non already undertakenWhat I have done for the awardThere is a gargantuan area of work which I have done in order for me to have achieved the award. My first step towards achieving the award is to sort out my activities I will be undertaking to meet the set objectives of the D of E the skills, service and physical sections. In my skills service, I had the aim to encourage the uncovering and development of practical and social skills and personal interests. I distinct to act as the piano for my skills section. Choosing to have piano lessons for my skills sect ion was handy, as I already played the piano. I found there were lots of benefits I had when I undertook piano for my skills. It helped me a lot to manage my sequence, as playing the piano wasnt just about piano lessons, except also encounter the time to practice. For my service section, I contumacious to help the Bronze D of E group the group that were starting doing their D of E for the first time. I helped them forwards in achieving their D of E, especially preparing them for their expedition, giving them advice or skills on map reading, setting up tents, lighting stoves (which could potentially be a hazardous task), and what to bring in your rucksack. I found that doing this voluntary work for my service was really enjoyable, as well as making me an active citizen by supporting and helping others in their goals. Finally, for my physical section, I decided to choose tennis lessons. I feel that choosing tennis for my physical divagation was a good choice, as it was something n ew, and it gave me a challenge. At the beginning, my tennis was not that good, but after a few months of playing, my tennis has modify.I well enjoyed taking out those activities, it provided me with an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal developments, which has improved my character, given me more self-confidence, and given me a sense of responsibility. What taking part means to me, and what I have revealtpickings part in the D of E means a lot to me. It means that I have achieved a lot personally, and have more confidence in myself. I didnt believe that it was possible for me to walk 14 miles in 3 days, carrying a 25kg rucksack on my rear end, but I have proved to myself that it is possible.Taking part has given me a range of experiences that I can learn from and improve. One of the experiences I have taken on board is for me to plan prior the routes I take not just in an expedition, but in life. In one situation, I was stranded on a steep scree face, whi ch I could not climb up. I was map reading, and I took a wrong route, and ended up slipping down a steep hill. I eventually managed to get back up to the top by changing my approach to the situation, but it was a alarming experience, unable to crawl back up the hill.I have learnt that your major decisions should be made as soon as they can. Another lesson I have learnt whilst on the expedition is that if my approach to a problem, I need to change it in order to successfully achieve my goals. With this knowledge I have gained, if I were to encounter a similar situation similar that one, or if I may encounter another(prenominal)(prenominal) one whilst doing my aureate D of E precise soon, I would change my approach to find a solution, such as instead of me trying to climb back up, I could climb safely down and find a tryst point for my group.Another situation my group faced was respectable at the end, after walking around 13 miles, we thought we were in the right place for meeti ng the instructors, but we found out that we were lost. In this situation, we were very demoralized, exhausted and close to tears. After using the GPS, we found we were about another 2 miles from where we were meant to be. We had to co-ordinate the GPS reference with our OS map, and found out a new route we would have to take. Our legs were so tired, and we were cold, but we all decided to keep each other in good moral so we at least had the mental state to make it. Finally, about another half hour later, we made it to the end, as a group. After this experience, I have learnt that you dont have to make things harder therefore they are, and you have to make sure that the whole group is fine, because if just one person doesnt want to participate, then it could jeopardize the efforts from the rest of the team. Here we had to make sure that everyone was fine and was willing to carry on walking otherwise if we didnt arrive back as a group, then they would have failed us for not sticking together, and we would have to re-do our entire expedition. If on my Gold D of E, or eitherwhere in my life I am working with a group, I have learnt to make sure that everyone in the group is ok, otherwise we wont be as productive as if they are workingProblems suffered whilst undertaking the D of EWhen undertaking any D of E activity on any level, there are always going to be problems. The most super C problems suffered were when my group was undertaking the expedition. As the expedition requires a lot of a person, both physically and mentally, it means that you have to prepare yourself but moreover much you try to forecast those problems, some problems which can not be seekd may happen. One common example of this is when doing an expedition. You can anticipate the fact that there is a large amount of walking, but you cant anticipate the exhaustion you feel if you dont regularly walk that distance.

Discuss the Relationship Between Great Britain

The years 1750-1776 were very volatile years regarding the relationship surrounded by Britain and the North American colonies. A large scale war, levyes, and revolts all compete a part in the hostilities between the two nations. Economics, however, may excite been the spark that started the fire between the two nations, and might perhaps be the most significant cause of the future conflicts between the North American colonies and Great Britain. The cut and Indian war was fought from 1754-1761 primarily between the French with Indian allies and Britain for control of North America. This war was one(a) of the branch wars that would be fought on a global scale requiring more resources to tending in the war effort. Britain poured very large sums of money into the war in order to protect the colonists. By the end of the war, after Britains success and the signing of the treaty of Paris of 1763, Britain had expended much of its resources. Americans, after hearing the news show of Britains victory in the war, were readily making plans to venture watt into newly acquired lands. Britain, fearing that Indians would attack the colonies, quickly passed the proclamation of 1763 prohibiting settlement west of the Appalachians.Doing this was one effort to prevent future conflicts that would in turn hire Britain to use more of its resources. Britain had dug an economic hole so deep that it would require vast amounts of dirt to refill it. Where was the money to come from? The Americans, having barely back up the war effort, would become the mule that was to carry the burden. The war was in circumstance fought to protect the colonies thereby the colonists should have to pay for the money that was used for their protest defense. Britain embraced this idea and started passing levy acts and enforced the sailing acts.Of the acts that were passed to raise tax revenue the first was the Sugar Act. This act placed a tax on all sugar that was imported into the colonies. A n early(a) act that was passed was the revenue stamp act which placed taxes on playing cards, marriage licenses and other printed goods. The colonists showed red resentment to this as they eventually formed the stamp act congress. As seen in Document B sections III and IV the colonists believed that they did not shoot to pay these taxes as they were not even being implemented by their own government.Other forms of resentment would arise as groups known as the sons of casualness and daughters of liberty would be formed. In document C it is shown that the sons of liberty were a group of common townsfolk workers. These men and women would cry for liberty, no stamps, and holding as they believed that they should not have to pay for the taxes. They also enforced nonimportation agreements to obtain other fellow colonists support their cause to rebel against the mother country. The navigation acts also posed as a serious threat to the colonists as they forced trade specifically betwe en them and England exempting other countries from the trade. This was a major economic problem for the colonists as they were not able to snitch goods to other countries as they could possibly obtain larger profits as they could sell more goods and at higher prices. In document D benjamin Franklin talks about how the colonists are restricted to trade with England except for the smuggle that occurs between Spanish and colonial trade. He feels that some action should be taken that would eventually better the colonies economically. Overall, economics were the roots of the weeds that had been lay by Britain sparking a major conflict that cost them an entire nation.

Environmental Influences On Human Behavior Essay

Eating disturb is a chassis wherein an someones alimentation behavior of consume or non feeding is influenced by a psychological impulse, instead of a physiological privation. Individuals with eating distracts generally take aim to ignore the signals their bodies send out that nourishment is needed for maintenance or that enough nutrition has already been consumed. One general feature ordinarily observed in an individual with an eating disorder is abnormal fish, which whitethorn be either above or below the normal weight. regulation weight has been defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as having a system mass index (BMI) of 18. 5 to 24. 9 kg/m2 (Deurenberg and Yap, 1999 Weisell, 2002). BMI is the ratio of an individuals weight in kilograms (kg) to his heights in meters squ atomic number 18d (m2). An individual with a BMI of 25 to 29 kg/m2 is sort out as large(p), those with BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2 are categorized as mode stationly obese, and people with BMI of 40 kg/m2 and above are place as morbidly obese.Obesity was earlier considered as an imbalance mingled with nothing intake and energy expenditure. Today, obesity is regarded as a disease that is strongly influenced by genetic, physiologic and behavioral factors (Jequier and Tappy, 1999). The ball-shaped estimate of overweight people is currently 1. 2 billion, of which at least 300 million are classified as obese. Obesity has been identified as a preventable health risk, but unfortunately, the mortality rate of this disease is still high, contributing to approximately 300,000 deaths each year in the United States alone.Since the cases of overweight and obesity are continually increasing without all preference to economic status of a country, health governing bodies confuse put in a significant effort to promote cognizance of this disease and intervention programs that would teach the public of the risks of universe overweight and/or obese. A major factor th at influences such(prenominal) excessive weight wear is the poor lifestyle choices individuals make, in terms of their eating, exercising and physical activities. pig out eating is an other eating disorder that is characterized by consuming considerable gets of forage in order to achieve the strong feeling of being full. This disorder is generally involved with eating bouts even when an individual is not hungry. Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder that is recognized in two forms- the restricting face and the binge-eating/purging theatrical roles (APA, 1994). The restricting type of anorexia nervosa involves the absolute inhibition of food purpose and does not accompany any purging or binge-eating actions. The binge-eating type of anorexia nervosa is ordinarily characterized by cycles of binge-eating and purging. The classic symptom of anorexia nervosa is subjecting ones self to a starvation condition, with the main goal of preventing or avoiding gaining weight or detective work that any fat is deposited in the remains. The psychological angle with anorexia nervosa is that the individual perceives himself as overweight yet actually, their weight is already below normal. The extreme condition of anorexia nervosa usually involves death due to severe malnutrition.Bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder that is characterized by cycles of binge eating, purging and the employment of laxatives to remove any food that has been consumed (APA, 1994). Bulimia nervosa may be differentiated from anorexia nervosa through the feature that the individuals laid low(p) with this eating disorder typically fork up normal or above-average weights. In addition, individuals with anorexia nervosa can strongly inhibit their food intake, while individuals with binge-eating syndrome nervosa give away difficulty in avoiding food inspiration.Bulimic individuals commonly carry a psychological feeling of guilt and shame of eating so a great deal food, hence they try to appease themselves of their eating faults through purging and chemic elimination of the food they ate through the use of laxatives. They consider such activities as remedies or cleansing rituals so that they can immediately cleanse themselves of the disgrace they made from eating huge amounts of food. To date, the exact cause of bulimia remains unknown, yet there are theories that this eating disorder is strongly associated to depression and anxiety, however, a precise correlation of this cause still has to be investigated.Another theory involves the motivation of the bulimic individual to escape from reality, by treating for as a comfort instead of a source of energy and nutrition for their bodies. Childhood experiences may also possibly play a parting in the cause of bulimia, because young children are often apt(p) different types of food in order to pacify them or to bribe them for particular activities. Society may also play a role in bulimia, because the media strongly endorses t hat being thin is good, beautiful and acceptable. It has been suggested that eating disorders may be physiologically influenced by serotonin and norepinephrine. It has also been suggested that anorexia is more than frequently observed in females in the Western world (Suematsu, 1986). Several theories have been proposed to explain the mechanism behind hunger and eating in overweight and obese individuals. The indispensable- impertinent theory of Schachter (1971) states that hunger is influenced by external signals such as time, as shown in their experiments involving manipulation of clock rates and counting the consumption of crackers by the subjects. The research showed that faster ticking clocks that would domain meal times earlier would influence the subjects to eat earlier, while sluggish ticking close would influence subjects to eat later during the day. This theory reinforced the hypothesis that obese people tend to feel hungry found on the time of the day, and not based o f the real champion of hunger. The sensation of hungry in normal individuals is generally induced by internal signals such as an increased appetite or need to eat.The marge theory of hunger considers the cognitive influence of hunger and satiety, wherein an individual determines the amount of food he should take in, as their limit or confines (Hermand and Polivy, 1984). During viands regimes, the amount of food an individual eats is a picayune less than the vex amount or boundary and in turn, the torso physiologically adapts to the available sources of energy. In overweight and obese individuals, the boundary of food intake is significantly higher than an individual of normal weight.A terce theory explaining the relation between excessive weight gain and eating is the set point theory, which is essentially based on the control of the hypothalamus on the bodys predetermined weight. Such set point of weight will be biologically maintained through the natural way, disregardles s of efforts to loss weight through diets and other weight loss regimens. A decreased intake of calories will not perturb the hypothalamus in its self-regulation of body weight. These theories are comparatively similar in terms of their goal of attempting to distinguish the mechanisms of obesity. The theories all emphasized that obesity is not influenced by a atomic number 53 factor, such as plain and simple overeating. These theories actually describe external influences of factors that result in overeating. In the external-internal theory identifies the time of the day as the major factor that triggers hunger. For the boundary theory, the individual himself, most probably with the cerebellum as the major organ, determines the amount of food he will eat. As for the set point theory, the hypothalamus controls the individuals body weight. It is interesting to note that what the ordering has perceived as overweight is not really caused by a simple excessive hunger that stems from the need of the stomach to carry more food, but actually a more complex network involving the digestive system, the central nervous system and the immediate environment. Treatment for eating disorder often involves physical and psychological approaches. Psychotherapy serves as the main manipulation for eating disorders, which often involves sessions with a therapist to discuss issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and body image concerns. The therapist generally emphasizes the alliance of ones thoughts and eating activities, as well as program line the patient that food is a source of nourishment and not a source of comfort or escape. Antidepressants may be prescribed to an individual with an eating disorder, to regulate the emotions of the depressed individual. The physician will also need to regularly check the physical vital signs of the patient, in order to admonisher whether the patient is gaining weight and to determine whether any other complications may be pres ent in the individual.Dieticians will design a well-balanced diet for an individual with an eating disorder, as well as educate the person of the nutritional value of every type of food that is consumed. The theories of hunger and eating disorders are based on the concept of primary motivation, which is mainly an interplay between psychology and the biological need to set up energy to the proper mathematical operation of the human body. It is more complicated than the straightforward feeding mechanisms in other organisms because eating in the other species is singly influenced by the need to provide food for the normal physiology of the body.In human beings that have a more complex brain system due to evolution, we have acquired the additional dexterity to feed our passs, and even our souls, so to speak figuratively. It is important to individuals to understand that the mind is a powerful organ that can influence the actions and activities of the rest of the body but it is also more important to know that such choices of eating the right amount of food, as well as the right type of food, is a conscious and voluntary choice, and the consequences should be seriously considered.

Unfortunate Irony “Hope” Ariel Dorfman

Essay 2 Unfortunate Irony In the poem swear by Ariel Dorfman the use of irony is what really sets and delivers the musical mode of this heart wrenching story. The spring uses a very straight off approach in this poem because they are essentially just give tongue to the story, adding loose rhythm and rhyme structure. The silk hat way for the generator to reap the point of this tragedy across is with subtle but pro lay down irony. The acquire and father finding jubilate in this horrible event is the best example of irony.Irony in my opinion is what can really drive situation the feeling of the author or lyricist and is a way to alone change the direction of feeling. In Hope, when the author says we couldnt find away anything else about him, its as if the authors implying they dont know where they are taking him, what they are doing with him, or if theyll ever front him again. The irony in this statement is that we assume that until completing the poem and rereading it, th at perhaps the parents will not get to see the kidskin grow up.The author is speculating this early on that they will not see their child do all those things we have all been able to do and our parents have watched us do. Because they already know and somewhat accept what is going to happen to the child. The author is completely aware of what kind of situation this has brought about. You see this when Ariel says, somebody grade me frankly what times are these, what kind of word, what land. Ariel knows, these are imposing times This type of irony really reminds of classic and contemporary country lyrics. The one that comes to mind immediately is He Stopped harming Her directly by George Jones. The story he tells is of a man thats believelessly in love with a former lover that no long-lasting loves him. The opening line really sets the tone with Jones haunting twang, He state Ill love you till I die, She said youll forget in time. But as the story explains, he doesnt. Jones lyrics are extremely horrendous when describing the setting of his home and how he has held on to items that are linked to her. He kept some letters by his bed, Dated 1962, He had underlined in red, Every single I love you. The verse right in advance the chorus and the chorus itself are what show the very unfortunate irony. The mortal telling the story explains how he went to see his friend and hes All dressed up to go away, First time Id seen him smile in years, the man had finally found the end to his pain on his way to his own funeral. The chorus, He stop loving her today, They placed a wreath upon his door, And soon theyll carry him away, He stopped loving her today. To find happiness in such a way just shows how bad the pain actually is, just like in Hope. To find any amount in joy due to horrific pain and deplorableness, is very sad and it is understandable how the family of the child in Hope and the friends of the man in He Stopped Loving Her Today can find joy in these extremely sad and difficult situations The ultimate display of irony in Hope is later Ariel acknowledges the circumstances and situation their family has found themselves in and how to deal with it. They say they recognize his voice, his screams, they say, this is very powerful and very disturbing. This leads to the ultimate question of this piece, What Im asking is how can it be that a fathers joy, a mothers joy, is knowing that they, that they are hitherto excruciating their son? And the joy and comfort they find by knowing that if he is being tortured that is shut up alive and that still leaves a window for hope. Which means that he was alive five months later and our greatest hope will be to find out next year that theyre still torturing him eight months later, and he may might could still be alive. That is unfortunate irony, finding joy in a love one being tortured because at least there is still hope they will one day be reunited with their child. Works Cited Dorfman, Ariel. Hope. The tubing was sham on a lower floor specific conditions. These conditions are air temperature to be 25? C (degrees Celsius), adept atmospheric reference mechanical press, no heat transfer and laminar flow. The results from the computer semblance of laminar flow in the pipe were compared with the theoretical ones. Also the take was slim in the simulation to see if it is possible to get more finished results using grid convergence analysis. Method The pipe used in the simulation has dimensions of a 0. 5m axial length and a radial diam of 12mm. The air entering the pipe, inlet speeding, is set to 0. 4 m/s at a temperature of 25? C and one atmospheric pressure. No slip condition was set on the pipe w alls. The outlet of pipe was set to zero gauge average static pressure. In CFX a mesh was formed on the pipe with a default mesh spacing (element size) of 2mm. go steady (1) and (2) shows the setup of the model before simulation was preformed meet 1 Mesh without Inflation fingerbreadth 1 Mesh without Inflation course 2 Mesh with Inflation Part 2 Calculating the pressure drop ? p=fLD? Part 5 The simulation was performed three times, each time with a different grid setting. The numbers of nodes were 121156,215875 and 312647 for the 1st, 2nd and tertiary simulation.RESULTS Part 1 Figure 3 Pressure Distribution vs. Axial Length Figure 3 Pressure Distribution vs. Axial Length Figure 4 Axial amphetamine vs. Radial Diameter Figure 5 Velocity vs. Axial Distance Part 2 Having Dynamic viscosity ? = 1. 83510-5 kg/ms and Density ? = 1. 184 kg/m3 Reynolds Number Re=UbD? == 261. 58 detrition Factorf=64Re== 0. 244667 ?p=0. 965691 Pa From the simulation the pressure estimated at the inlet is ? p=0. 96562 Pa (0. 95295-0. 965691)/0. 965691*100 = 1. 080 % Part 3 Having Re=UbD? =261. 58 The entrance pipe length Le Le=0. 06Re*D = 0. 188 mFrom the graph in Figure (3) the Le is estimated to be 0. 166667 ((0. 166667-0. 188)/0. 188)*1 00 = 11. 73% Part 4 From the graph in Figure 2 the theoretical velocity at the center of the pipe is estimated to be 0. 8 m/s. Table (1) shows the axial velocity and pressure helping error for each simulation. DISCUSSION After the simulation was successfully done on Ansys CFX and the simulated results were compared with theoretical results, it was sho w that the simulated results have slight deviation from theoretical ones. In PART 2, he pressure in the simulated result differed by the theoretical by a 1. 080%, for 1st simulation. In PART 3, the simulated results for entrance pipe length, Le, differed from the theoretical results by 11. 73%. In PART 4, Figure (4), the simulated velocity curve is less accurate than that of the theoretical. In PART 5, mesh refinements and inflation were done to the simulation in order to getting breach results. Figures (6) show with more nodes and inflation the accuracy of the results adds. Increasing the nodes gradually was found to be an advantage where higher or more accurate results were obtained. This is mention in grid convergence graph, Figure (6), as the number of nodes augment the pressure percentage error is converging to 2% while for velocity percentage error is converging to 12%. On the other hand, the percentage error increased with the increase of the number of nodes while the ve locity error decreased with the increase of number of nodes. In Part 2 the percentage error for pressure drop is 1. 080%, for 1st simulation. But when trying to increase the accuracy of the simulated velocity result by refining the meshing and adding nodes the pressure drop percentage error increases, as shown in estimate (6).This is due to that Darcy-Weisbach equation, equation (1), assumes constant developed flow all along the pipe where in the simulated results the flow is observed to become developed father down the pipe from the inlet. This is assumed to change the pressure distribution along the pipe. CONCLUSION More nodes used in meshing get out produce more accurate and precise results, as shown in Figure (6). Also the meshing plays a vital rule on the sensitiveness of results in terms of the accuracy of these results. REFERENCES 1Fluid Mechanics Frank M. White one-sixth edition. 2006

Succubus Revealed Chapter 5

Id been bracing mys pixie for Cleveland or Guam. I was too lots of a pessimist to c exclusively back I might be offered nigh(a) subject sluice moderately appealing. If I was already freeing by dint of the trauma of leaving Seattle, then accredited full it would be for roundw here terrible.Did you grade Las Vegas? I retained, sinking down onto my couch. Immediately, I guessed the catch. Ah. Its not Las Vegas, Nevada, right? Its a different Las Vegas. New Mexico ? Or virtually other continent?Sorry to disappoint you and your martyr fantasies, Georgie. Jerome lit a bottom and inhaled deeply. Its Las Vegas, Nevada. I recall you even k this instant the archdemon at that place Luis. Isnt he a friend of yours?I blinked. Luis? Yeah. I mean, in as much as an archdemon can be. That got a sm whole smile from Jerome, though I only barely noticed. I had worked for Luis a long clock ago, and if I had to be honest, he was probably my favorite boss of all date. That wasnt to sece rnate Jerome was a terrible one, entirely Luis while strict all the same had an belatedly expression close to him that could approximatelytimes mould you for green goddess you were damned for all timeless existence. So . . . my orders are to go to Las Vegas and work for Luis.Yes, said Jerome.I looked rearwards at him from where Id been perfect(a) vacantly out the window. Is there any way to change that? To kick downstairs it? Isnt there anything I can do to beneficial stay here? And are you sure its not a slip what with the delivery mix-up?Jeromes dark eyebrows rose. It was one of those rare moments when hed been caught off-guard enough to disc everyplace surprise. You dont deprivation to go? I mean, Im flattered youd indirect request to stay under my rule, only if Id phone you would be pleased with this situation. Las Vegas is perfect for a half-ass succubus exchangeable you.I ignored the jab though he had a point. Las Vegas was such a breeding ground for s in and salvation that it was nearly packed to bursting with servants of both enlightenment and blaze. It probably had one of the highest concentrations of succubi in the world, meaning it was flaccid to slide by with quotas. Here, I was the only succubus, so my number of vitiate souls was scrutinized heavily. In Las Vegas, thered be plenty of go-getter succubi to cover for slackers the bid me.Its not rough you, I said slowly. Its most . . . lot.Jerome sighed loudly and stamped out his cigarette on my coffee table. I supposed I should be happy it wasnt my couch or carpet. Of course it is. Because in the grand scheme of the universe, your dandy is important enough to move over underworlds HR change their minds most a re-org. Come on, Georgie. How naive are you? How many transfers assume you had over the eld? Or perhaps I should ask, how many transfers do you k now of that were turned because mortal didnt feel wish well it? nonee, I admitted. At most, Hell would tar get unhappy employees into account and move them out of places they werent world productive. I had pass along transfers in the lead and gotten a couple of them. however once HR do up its mind? That was it. The cold truth of this, that it wasnt a mistake and that I couldnt stop it, was beginning to wrap around me. I tried to make sense of it some other way. But why? why did they watch to this? Ive been a good employee. . . . Yet, even as I spoke, I grew uncertain. Jerome looked at me knowingly. pretend you?I havent been a severe employee, I amended. Not precisely. This isnt a game. We dont compulsion mediocre employees who can keep the status quo. We want souls. We want to win. And youve exhausted most of your time here being mediocre. Dont glare at me like that. You know Im right. Youve had fits and starts of productivity, the most notable being when you were under duress. Even thats been inconsistent. Id do a bargain with Jerome a year ago, in which Id behaved like a mod el succubus for a while. After Id helped rescue him from summoning, thered been an unspoken bankers featureance of me slacking off once again without getting any trouble from him. If youd thrived here and turned over large amounts of souls, I doubt youd be leaving. So, if youre looking for someone to blame, look in the mirror. You sure sound self-satisfied about this, I pointed out petulantly. Like youre happy about it. beaming? Happy about the gamble of getting a new employee or of inheriting Tawny permanently? Hardly. But unlike you, I accept that my happiness means zip fastener to my superiors. The only thing that matters is me following their orders. His brass and expression clearly said that the same was true for me.I well-nigh never held back from sparring with Jerome, scarce today I did. wherefore? Because there was vigour I could say, no bargain I could make with him. Id negotiated a number of favors and allowances in my years with him, things specifically pertai ning to my existence here within Seattle. That was his domain. But the rest of the world? That was out of his control. in that location was nothing he could do to change this reassignment, even if he wanted to. on that point was nothing I could do either. You right couldnt fight against some things. Hell was one of them. When Id signed my soul by, Id signed away control of my eternity to them as well. Its not fair. Guessing Jeromes snappy retort, I chop-chop added, I know, you dont have to say it. Life isnt fair. I get it. But its tho . . . its effective cruel. solidification and I finally managed a working relationship. And now I have to leave him.Jerome shook his interrogative, and I could carve up by his restless stance that he was ready to go. His patience with this conversation was ravel thin. You know, I might missy some of your witticisms when youre gone, but one thing I wont miss? Your overwhelming sense of melodrama and despair. Its too much even for me.The sorrow and self-pity within me transformed to anger. Im gruesome, but this is serious to me How can I not be mad? I roll in the hay Seth. I dont want to leave him.So dont. Take him with you. Or age long distance. I honestly dont give a fuck, so long as you stop your whining. How can you not attain solutions here? Youve apparently decided that you being unfading isnt a deterrent to your great love . . . but a two-hour plane ride is?I matte up form of cowed. Normally, I resented Jerome for jeering me when I was up couch because I blamed it on his lack of empathy. But now, I had to admit that maybe he was onto something about me being overly histrionic. Why couldnt I take Seth with me? If Seth really love me, a move shouldnt be a problem. And of all the jobs in the world, he had one of the best(p) suited for a change of venue. Unfortunately, it was a snatch more complicated than that. I sighed.I dont know if he would. His familys here, and his sister-in-laws sick. He cant leave t hem anytime soon. . . .Jerome shrugged. Were back to the part where I dont give a fuck. I do, however, sustainment that you go there to visit sooner rather than later. Luis asked if Id stake you down in advance to scope out the area for a couple of days. beholding as wheel practice doesnt start until Monday, I cant help but conceive this weekend would be an excellent time to get that out of the way. Im happy to oblige him but not at the cost of interfering with my team.Really? I scoffed. You expect me to vex about bowling in light of all this?He gave me a thin-lipped smile. Seeing as youre muted my employee for the next four weeks, yes. I expect you to look at about it immensely. He glanced over at papistical, who had observed all of this silently. And I expect you to move into up with an excellent training regimen for them. Ill see you both then.Jerome vanished in a poof of smoke, further verifying how self-satisfied he entangle about all of this. Losing me might be in convenient for him, but I think his demon nature still took some delight in seeing the torment of others.I covered my eye and rolled over to lie flat on the couch. Oh God. What am I going to do? This cant be happening.Breaking up with Seth expiry year had torn my heart apart. I had wanted to die. Being reunited with him had felt like being born anew. Id loved life, even my damned one. forthwith I was starting to feel that terrible, aching desperation again. It wasnt possible that someone could go through so many extreme ups and downs in so short a time span. Welcome to being in love, I fantasy.I felt Roman sit down by my feet. A moment later, both cats joined us. I uncovered my eyes and fix his sea green ones staring down at me. He wasnt exactly tactful, but I have to admit he had a point. Why wouldnt Seth hardly move with you?Under normal circumstances . . . I had to pause in order to not start laughing. Our circumstances were never normal. Under normal circumstances, he would . But like I was saying, with Andrea, I dont even think he can. And honestly, I wouldnt want him to. I didnt bring about that was true until I spoke the words. If Seth dropped everything to run off with me, he would be hurting both himself and his family for my sake. I could never allow that. My heart sank. I cant call back this. How could this have come about so readily? I was so happy.Roman scratched Aubreys head and leaned back. Thats an excellent heading. This was all physique of sudden. Is that how it normally is?Well, I mean, we never get much warning of transfers. sometimes you know a re-org is coming. Sometimes you get one after requesting a transfer. Usually, though, someone has a meeting, plans your fate, and you find out about it later. The only supernatural thing here was Jerome apparently having less notice than me.Roman had been staring at the ceiling and then snapped his head back to look at me. I flinched under the intensity of his gaze. Explain that again. Wha t happened and what was unusual.I started to tell him Id just explained it but instead swallowed off any sharp retort, knowing he wasnt the true source of my irritation. Normally, your archdemon meets with you to tell you the details, and then the letter with the transfer date follows. This happened so fast that I got the letter before Jerome had a risk to babble to me.Hell doesnt do things without a reason. He reconsidered. Well, impromptu bowling competitions aside. But they like their bureaucracy, their paperwork, and all their details in order. Even if they quickly decided to do a transfer, theyd still follow all their foolish procedures. For the letter to have jumped ahead of Jerome getting his instructions, things moldiness have been disadvantageously expedited. The question why? Why such a rush to get you out of Seattle?I couldnt help a smile. Youre looking for a confederacy here. I mean, dont get me wrong, I think this sucks. Its terrible. But I dont think theres anythi ng more to it than what Jerome said about me skimping at my job. Which . . . well, which is my fault.Yes, but Hell deals with bad employees all the time. They go through reams of procedure to figure out the best way to deal with those people. Pop might be right that Hell cant tolerate mediocre workers, but its not to the extent that they have to deal with it right that second. Whats so special about you that someone would all of a sudden decide to initiate a hasty transfer?I appreciated that Roman was trying to help me, but I didnt want to get caught up in what could easily become an obsessive quest for him. Nephilim had serious grudges with Heaven and Hell and were always looking for ways to challenge and thwart them. Roman himself had once gone on a killing spree of high immortals. There was something in his nature that wanted there to be more than bad luck here, but I just wasnt sure I believed there was.Carters words echoed in my head, no matter how much I tried to shrug them off If theres a reason, its because youve been doing something Hell doesnt want you to do.You should talk to Carter, I muttered. Hes certain theres a reason too. Seeing Romans expectant look, I halfheartedly tried to humor him. I dont know what it could be. perhaps because I got captured by Oneroi? Maybe theyre worried Im unstable or something. Or that this isnt a condom place for me.Roman nodded along with my words. That does make you special. However, if I was worried about an employee losing it, Id want to keep them in a place where I knew they felt stable. Im sure Hell knows youre happy here, and if anything, they might think that experience outpouring you to Jerome more closely. Theyd want to encourage that loyalty.Hell doesnt need to encourage loyalty, I told him. All they care about is that I signed my soul over to them. Thats bigger than loyalty.A startled look crossed his face. That is all they care about. Georgina, when did this happen? Exactly when did this happen?Er, t he letter? There was a fanatic look in his eyes. No question. He was getting obsessed. Yes.This morning. It showed up at Seths. I sensed the courier and woke up to it.You were at Seths. What were you doing at the time? What were you doing just before then? Hed stopped petting Aubrey, and she slithered toward me in a huff, seeking a more attentive audience. Walk me backward from that point.Well, like I said, I was sleeping. Before that . . . I winced, intending getting into seam with Ian. I met Seths mom and younger brother. Before that, I was at Peters fondu party. Before that, I was at the mall Peters. Tell me about Peters. Did anything spiritual happen to you there?I cut him a look. It was a fondue party at a vampires. Everything about that is weird.Im trying to help you There was a strained, agitated quality to his voice as he leaned toward me. provided hold off on the jokes, okay? Think. What happened to you specifically? What did you talk about? What did they say to you? I was growing increasingly uncomfortable at his intensity. They were mocking me about my job, I said.Jerome too?Of course. He said me being an elf was an embarrassment and that I should do something else. A shocking thought bear on me. Roman . . . you dont think Jerome requested the transfer, did you? Could he really be that upset with me? That embarrassed?I dont know, admitted Roman. He absentmindedly ran a hand through his curling dark hair. Its possible. Some of the weirdness might be explained away if Jerome was trying to hide that he initiated all this. But then, its not like any of your other friends are exactly normal. If something was going to embarrass Jerome enough to get rid of an employee, I kind of feel like there would have been a lot of other opportunities before you. Anything else come up?I asked them about I hesitated. The topic was still sensitive for me. It was fractious to mention to Roman, and I could hardly believe Id had the guts to bring it up to the gan g that night. Roman caught my uncertainty and pounced. What? What else? What did you ask them about?I waited a few more moments and then decided to tell him. It couldnt hurt, and besides, for all I knew, Roman had mentioned my name to Seth.About a month ago, when we were in bed, Seth called me Letha when he was half-asleep. When I asked him how he knew that name, he couldnt remember. He couldnt even remember calling me that. So, I asked the group that night if any of them had told my name to Seth. And?And they all said no. Cody didnt even know my name. I got berated for being melodramatic again, and the general consensus was that Seth had just overheard it from me or someone else and forgotten.Roman was silent, which was almost more unnerving than him grilling me. I straightened up and nudged him.Hey, you didnt tell Seth, did you?Huh? No. He frowned, caught up in his own thoughts. What did Jerome think? Did he sustain with that theory?Yes. He thought me manner of speaking it up wa s a amount of money waste of time and didnt hesitate to tell me. He was so tire by it that he started talking about bowling instead.Thats when he told you about the bowling team? The bowling team that came out of nowhere?Yeah. . . . at once I was frowning. It was clear that Romans thoughts were cartroad off to a place I wasnt at or able to follow. Why? What are you thinking? Is this colligate somehow?I dont know, he said at last. He stood up and paced the living room a couple of times. I need to think about this. I need to ask some questions. What are you going to do now?I rose as well and stretched, suddenly feeling weary. I need to talk to Seth. I have to tell him what happened. And I suppose . . . I make a face. If I do have to go to Las Vegas, this weekend is the time to do it.So you dont miss bowling practice? teased Roman. That, and I have it off from work. Seths beauteous tied up with his family in town, which makes it another good time to go. Although . . . itd kind of b e nice if he went with me. I mean, if he was going to think about moving, he could check it out too. Yet, again, that worry returned to me how could I ask Seth to abandon terrycloth and Andrea?Actually, said Roman, humor vanishing, I think its best he doesnt go.Why not?Because whatever the reasons, somethings just not right about this. I dont know whats waiting for you in Las Vegas. Maybe nothing. But I just feel like theres a larger hand in all of this, guiding it, and that its safest for Seth if you dont drag him into immortal drama. Romans face softened. Im actually not thrilled about you facing it alone, but Im not sure me walking into a hotbed of immortal activity is so smart either.Ill be fine, I said, trying to not be launch off by his ominous words. No matter how terrible a transfer is, I have to admit, I got kind of lucky with this one. I mean, Im not saying I trust any demons, but if I had to, it would be Luis. Hes really great, and Vegas is, well, Vegas. Like I said. I got lucky.Roman grew heedful again. Yes. Yes, you did.The next day, I assemble Seth later at his brothers house. Andrea had had another treatment that day and was sleeping it off. Seth and Margaret were helping take care of the household as best they could, cooking a late dinner party and watching the girls. I arrived at about the same time as Terry got home from work, and our double entrance was greeted with shouts and hugs. I scooped Kayla up in my arms and kissed her while Terry asked what I had been wondering.Wheres Ian?Seth and Margaret exchanged looks. Ian had some things to do, she said neutrally.Yeah, agreed Seth. In the form of scoping out ironic split of Seattle. So much for Ian stepping up to help the family. No doubt hed found new hipster friends at a coffee shop and was now hanging out with them somewhere, drinking PBR and regaling them with stories of all the obscure bands he knew.Terry smiled good-naturedly. Well, thats his loss because dinner smells great. More fo r us. He swung Kendall around and kissed his other daughters before going upstairs to check on Andrea. I felt a lump form in my throat as I watched him go. He put on such a good face for the kids, but I knew this had to be tearing his heart apart. My own petty concerns seemed exactly that petty. Small. Inconsequential.Nonetheless, news of the transfer weighed on my mind throughout dinner. Id wanted to wait until Seth and I were alone at his place, but my face must have betrayed my feelings.Hey, he said gently, slipping an arm around me. The family was poised in the living room, starting a movie, while Seth and I stood in the inletway to the kitchen. Everything okay? I hesitated, unsure about bringing it up here. Sensing that, he pulled me into the privacy of the kitchen. Thetis, talk to me.I got some bad news today, I began. I tried to think of a clever or funny way to lead into it, but nothing came. So, I just blurted it all out, explaining the inarguable nature of transfers and the details of mine.Las Vegas, he said flatly. He looked as though hed been slapped. Youre moving to Las Vegas. Not for a month, I said, clasping his hands. And believe me, I dont want to. God, Seth. I still cant believe it. Im sorry. Im so, so sorry.Hey, dont apologize. Not for this. He drew me near, the kindness and compassion on his face nearly making me cry. This isnt your fault. You have nothing to be sorry about.I shook my head. I know, but . . . its just so crazy. I thought this was it. Our chance to be together. And now I dont know what to do. I cant ask you to . . .Ask me to what?I leaned my head against his chest. Come with me.He was allay for a few moments. Would they let me? I always thought . . . I mean, whenever youve talked about your past, it always sounded like you reinvented yourself. New name, new appearance. I thought you had to leave your past life behind.I have, but that was always just my choice. For you . . . I mean, of course I wouldnt do that. Id stay Georg ina Kincaid, just as you know her. But you cant leave them. I gestured to the living room. Its not expenditure it.Seth moved his hands to my head, tilting my face up so I could look him in the eye. Georgina, he said softly. I love you. Youre expenditure it. Youre everything to me. Id follow you to the ends of the earth. And beyond. That doesnt make sense. I smiled sadly. And Im not everything. You love them too. And youd hate yourself for running off with me while they need you so much. So, what? Youve made my choice for me? he asked. There was a playful note to his voice, despite the deadly seriousness of the topic. are we breaking up?No Of course not. I just . . . I just want you to know that I dont expect you to come with me. Do I want to be with you? Yes, of course. But I love your family, Seth. I love all of them. My happiness . . . It was strange, speaking those words. My happiness. For so long, Id been miserable. satisfaction wasnt even a concept Id imagined for myself in ages. My happiness isnt worth theirs. He leaned down and brushed his lips against mine. What about mine?I stared in astonishment. Are you saying youd abandon them and run off to Las Vegas? No, he said firmly. I would never abandon them. But there must be some middle ground here. Some way that doesnt involve sacrificing us or them. We just have to figure it out. What we have is too important. Dont give up on us yet, okay?I hugged him, losing myself in the sweetness of his heating plant and scent. My heart had lightened a little at his words, but I still didnt want to get my hopes up. There was too much at stake, still too much that could go wrong.I love you, I told him.I love you too. He squeezed me tight and then kissed me again before draw apart. Now. Lets go watch that movie and pretend to be social so that we can leave early. Why?Because if youre going to Vegas this weekend, then I want to get you home and get some quality time in tonight.I grinned and put my arm around him. Does quality time mean what I think it does?Yes, he said, as we walked back to the living room. Yes, it does.Well, then, you know thats against the rules.Rules that you made up, he pointed out.Rules that are for your own good, I corrected. Its not time yet. Remember, we have to ration ourselves. It was part of the conditions of us getting back together. Keeping strictly platonic before had strained us, so this time, Id agreed that some charge up was okay . . . even though I cringed at the thought of how from each one act, no matter how small, would take away some of his life. Seth had told me he didnt care, that hed take any risk to be with me. I was still cautious, and hed yielded to me to set the schedule for our rationed elicit life. I still wasnt entirely sure what constituted proper rationing in this situation, but something in my head said we should have sex only every few months. I hadnt told Seth that, though. It had been one month since the last and only time wed had sex si nce getting back together as a mortal and a succubus, and I knew he was getting restless. It was especially difficult for him because although he well-thought-of me, he also didnt think such caution was needed when he was the one who faced the dangers dangers he swore he didnt mind. Not tonight, I continued. Its very much a special occasion, though, he told me. A big send-off.Hey, I didnt say we couldnt do anything, I replied. Just not as much as youd like to do. One thing wed inherited from our chaste days was a set of several creative workarounds, mostly involving doing unto ourselves what we couldnt do unto each other. The question is, is there going to be a problem with your houseguests? Not if were quiet, Seth said. After a moment, he shrugged. Scratch that. I dont care. Let them hear.I scoffed. Oh, yeah. So that your mom can come break down your door with her baseball bat.Dont worry, he said, kissing my cheek. Shes no match for you and that dictionary.
